Soldier’s Angels

Some don’t believe. I do. The new guys arrived at their new post in the middle of the night. Hours went by finding them a place to stay temporarily.

Saturday, they slept in a bit, then headed out on their task of buying the things on their list that they need, and looking around in the daylight. One major stop was the PX. While checking out Dave decided to ask the young lady checking them out a few questions about where’s this and that. “Scuse me mam, we are kinda new here we just got in.”

Before he could go further she smiled and said, “Oh you must be the guys from Benning who got in real late Friday night.” Dave was surprised anyone knew anything about them.

She went on to tell him her husband was one of the Instructors where they were going. Dave said he hoped they weren’t in too much trouble cause the bus driver dumped them off at the wrong place in the middle of the night. She said, “Oh no they do that every time.” Believe me that was a huge relief to Dave and his buddies. She went on to fill them in on this and that and how things were going to happen. She probably gave them more smiles and information than anyone to date.  Then she told them to check in with her from time to time and let her know how things are going.

In less than 10 minutes she gave them a huge serving of humanity. They were all hungry for that.  Yes I know the difference between Saints and Angels. Humans can’t be Angels, but they sure can be Saints. And to those who can’t tell the difference, suffice to say, it doesn’t matter. They are a blessing to us all, and Thank God for them. Tomorrow starts the new stuff. Dave thinks he may not be able to call till next weekend. It may go down like that.

By the way thanks to the Angels who check in here from time to time, Karen I, GunnNutt, Sam, and all those who offer words of support.

For those of you who have never checked in on GunnNutt’s place click on the link, and take a peek at how they refuse to let the Commie Moonbats who protest outside Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC stand unchallenged.

Take a peek at how some really stand up guys and girls show their stuff and shame the Code Pink Pukes. Meet some of the other super people who stand up, like Major Pain ( a real Marine Major, although that’s not his real name), Blackfive the Paratrooper of Love and all the supporters who make comments in the comment section.

I’m glad Dave and his group found a friendly face to fill them in right away. That’s such a relief to find someone like that when you’re new somewhere and don’t know what to expect. I agree that GunnNut and Samantha are real pro-Angels. I’m just a lady that the troops bring out the best in. ANOTHER thing to thank them for.Good luck to Dave and friends with all the new stuff they’ll have this week.

Karen, anyone like you who takes a minute to say … “you go guys” is a Soldier’s Angel.

    Thank you so much.

  3. GunnNutt Says:

Hooray for the PX lady! I’m glad to hear Dave has found a sympathetic font of knowledge to help sort out the confusion.

You are much too kind, Pa - thanks for the cudos.
