MAJO MAJO THEM LOCA

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

A field report from Ner!!!

What’s new here?  Well, not a lot of new is going on really. It’s cold and chaotic.  I don’t know whether I’m coming or going.

Emily is still playing flute in the band.  It’s fun to hear them all play together.  Their music teacher is really good.  Emily is also playing basketball and loves it.  The team couldn’t agree on a name and this was causing some heart breaking battles.  I suggested an acronym for the girls names.  They thought that was great and so are now called MAJO MAJO THEM LOCA.  They say it’s an Indian curse.  It’s hilarious to see them chant it.

Noah is in Boy Scouts and loving it.  I am his den leader and enjoying that as well.  He just had his first pine-wood derby competition two weeks ago.  He got first place in one race and second place in three.  He could not be more proud.  He’s hoping to eventually be able to shoot bows and arrows and go on camping trips.  He is also playing basketball this year.  I think he may not be enjoying that as much.  Can’t know it til you try it though I guess. Maisie is able to turn on the bathroom light switch all by herself standing on her tip toes just in the last week.  Always before it was a crisis, but now she’s all grown up.  She has decided she wants to spell her name with a Z so people know how to say it right.  She also wants to be called “Z” and draws a “Z” in the air when she says it.  She’ll be 3 day preschool next year, and is loving the two day preschool this year.  Her teacher is “the best teacher ever”.  She is also loving dance.  She spends her days playing imagination games as well as singing and dancing.  She is the little princess in the family.

I’m still watching 4 babies and time is flying!  Jim is still at his job and time is not(flying for him).  Too bad there isn’t a happy medium somewhere.  Well, that’s about it, but it’s more than enough for me. Ner

Last phone week

Monday, January 29th, 2007

This is a week of preparation for the guys in the Magical Forest. S1 has moved a lot of stuff down to the village. Ram says that the house looks a tad small. Doc is still out in the Forest but should be home shortly. The guess is he will move out with CheeseHead and Ram next week.

We may have need to add a few characters to our action adventure. Needless to say we will have to come up with new code names for them, but we can describe them somewhat when we do.

Next Monday will begin 3 weeks of radio silence. I will try to bore everyone with a story of mine or two. And I hope to update everyone on Ner, Pambo, Pete, Mike, Chris, Beth and company.

Stay tuned friends and neighbors.

S1 is in Town!!

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

S1 and her sister got to town and were assigned Housing. Ram got a call from a “strange phone number” towards evening and it was someone named S********. Aka S1. He didn’t recognize her at first till she said … you know Doc’s wife!. Click all the lights came on.

S1 and her “single” sister were moving in. (yes CheeseHead wanted to just hang out a bit).

She asked if Ram knew anyone who could help move a refrigerator. As luck would have it Ram had 4 captive movers in his truck and they were on the way to dinner at ….. you guessed it … Texas Road House. S1 and sis caught up with the guys about the time they were done.

They visited a bit, and then went over to S1’s place, each soldier took a corner of the frig and like that it was in the house and in position. It’s good to know 5 guys in really good shape on moving day.

We are really glad Ram and CheeseHead and the guys were able to help S1 some.

Life is good.  Welcome to the village S1.  Doc is still out in the Magical Forest completing NCO school.

Fonda is a traitor.

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

She provided aid and comfort to the North Vietnamese communists. Her people took to Hanoi a list of American Soldiers who worked in intel. They never came home.

When she joined the protesters on Sat Jan 27 in Washington DC. The lie that “we support the troops, we oppose the war” was laid bare. Not only do they hate Bush and the war. They hate the troops. They hate our sons, daughters, fathers, brothers, sisters and all of our MIlitary. They wish them ill. They are a part of that 22 per cent of Americans who hope Americal loses in Iraq as measured on the recent poll.

“Fonda, who led a roster of Hollywood stars at the protest, including Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, branded the Bush government a “mean-spirited, vengeful administration.”

She said her daughter and two granddaughters were with her at the protest.

“I’m very proud that they’re here, but I’m so sad that we still have to do this, that we did not learn the lessons from the Vietnam War,” Fonda said.

And below photos taken from the traitor and friends photo album.

more trash

Why publish these photos and bring attention to them. Because when this traitor was welcomed by Sean Penn, Sarandon, Robbins and friends …. it was an admission of the hate they feel towards our sons and daughters serving in the military.

Her actions killed troops and gave hope to the North Vietnamese and lead to the deaths of Americans.

Penn’ Sarandon, Robbins et al are now giving aid and hope to the terrorists who fly the perverted banner of Radical Islam and who have already killed American Soldiers, and women … and children in our country.

The politicials who were there need to be recalled. That is not in my hands.

I need to give this due thought and research and come up with a boycott plan for these dumbshit actors. Screw them and any movie they are in.

Yea I know that the Hollywood types and media types are their close friends. But perhaps a petition to the film makers and others in power in Hollywood pledging not to see any work they are in might hurt.

Any ideas are grealy appreciated.

I would hope other bloggers would help , and bring in friends to sign this thing. I hope legit Viet Vet organizations would as well.

This thing marks a turning point we need to take strong action against.

Walter Mitty?

Funny thing the most used search words to find our blog is now:

“What is a Walter Mitty Complex.”

End of the Doldrums

The paper war is over, and the guys are moving out next week to a new building. We all hope this one has heat.

The following week the waiting is over and training again begins in earnest. Now they know what the projected graduation date is. Now they can hit it and work on developing skill and tactics.

Cheesehead is really looking forward to putting his heavy weight sleeping bag away and using regular stuff like a sheet and blanket at night.

I think the guys would like to be spoiled.

Ruck up and soldier on guys!

:)

Prayer

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Lord hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need.

Amen.

Admit it Chris you were making idiot faces at the kid again weren’t you? :)

With you being 6′4″ and mom being …. what 6′2″ or so ….. we should start a pot on how tall Eva is gonna be. Time to start researching all those basketball scholarships.

No hang on, go for academic stuff, she will be tall but that’s not all. Smart too.

Air Conditioner Blues

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

Well there is a new batch in the Magical Forest. A group that hasn’t gone through selection yet. They are a bundle of nerves.

Funny thing, the building they are in has no heat. CheeseHead was the first to proclaim “This place sucks a lot!” Of course up to then, they were okay with it, but CheeseHead pointing out the obvious …. kind soured things for them all, now they all realize … the place sucks.

The building however does have window air conditioners. They all noticed that the window units had like steel cages around them. Great AC in the winter and no heat.

It rained, there were puddles around. Ram and crew were in formation when they all heard it. BONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! They all turned around just in time to see one of the new guys nearly suspended in midair like in a Sam Peckinpaw western … his boots came up parallel with the earth and he fell to the ground …………plop.

What happened was the new guy came around the corner head down lookin at whatever and the first thing he hit was the steel cage … with his head.

The medics loved it they never see trama wounds anymore. The kid was okay he just got a small cut on his head and a large dent in his pride.

So it wasn’t too much longer after that another new guy did the same thing BOOOOOOOOONNNNNG … and the cry came up from the formation (just before the large outbreak of laughter) ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh!

Now it’s like they guys all want to turn the formation around to watch the new guys run into stuff.

It’s true yanno. The military sure brings down your level of needs. Simple things are important. Water. Dry Socks. Warm. Sleep. and gettin to watch FNG’s run into stuff.
