Ram update

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

The week was good. The telephone time was severly limited from the Magical Forest. The “O” did good and didn’t fall on his face.

One more of the original warriors was recycled.

Ram is having fun.

That is all.

And sometimes there is nothing better than just being able to hang out together

Pete N Julie

Yes that is a Marine Corps Flag in the background. There may be some news on that later too.

Bear

A dog named Bear. And a freshly shampoo’d one too. But we won’t go into that story.

Bear is an integral part of the home defense system.

We’re not sure of course, but we think the lil guy on the left wants to join the Army when he grows up. Whatta ya think?

But you know evening is when things really begin to heat up….. Gentlemen, start your pinewood cars!

Starting line

Ain’t that black car HOT!!!? (It’s Noah’s car)  We thought so too. Go like the wind.

Race

Come on Black Beauty.  As it turned out Noah’s car took first place in one race, and second in two other races.

Congratulations Noah!

Victory Row

While in Emily’s World Backetball is hot.

Basketball forever

Majo Majo them Loco

Stairway

Ever try to get kids to pose for a photo? Then  you know how it is.

Stairs2

And so it goes. Notice how there are no photos of Ner and Jim on a beach in Cancun. I’t a small world afterall. Maybe roller skates will help catch up with those kids. Kids, and cousins and Adventures in Babysitting. That’s what I’m tawkin about.

Ram and the “O”

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Okay before anyone guesses anything wild and strange an “O” is an Officer.

Officers come in basically two major types.  Type one is the type who are what they are because of who they are. Type two is the kind that is who he is because of what someone pinned on his collar (for Marines) shoulder thingies for Army types … forget the Navy and Air Force for now.

Type two “O”s contain a large group of careerists.  That is the ones who will climb over or use people to get ahead. In short the kinda guy who makes Christians happy to believe that there will be a “judgement day”.

Type one “O”s you will follow to Hell and back. (H/T to Major B who is a Type One type.)

So anyway .. our fearless warrors in the Magical Forest have merged onto the military highway of many ranks. Ram’s group has many Sergeants, Staff Sergeants, Sergeant First Classes (Marines call them Gunnies) and officers. Of course in training the Army has made them well aware of the fact that for training purposes they are all “Equally Worthless”. In short in the Small Army no one in this situation pulls rank, they are all equal for training purposes.  They don’t march, and they don’t holler Hooah … unless they have modivied it to sound kinda like a moron askin a question …. to taunt those in the big Army.

Sitting next to Ram during the recent classes was a Captain. The experience of “rubbin elbows” with this “O” and so many NCO’s and SNCO’s has been an eye opener for not only Ram but the other guys who came up like they did .. that is to say ….. without being assigned to a field unit, or being on a 1st or 2nd re-up.

These guys are bred to form teams. Small teams. They all have a job they specialize in and they must learn the jobs of the other’s in the team.

I can tell you from being an FO (Forward Observer) in my young Marine Corps days, the Lcpl and PFC with you are the most important people around. They have your back, and you have theirs. You must learn their jobs, and teach them yours. No one is bullet proof and if one can’t function then another must take his place, no matter if he is a Lieutenant, Captain or Major, or PFC.

Believe me it is a thing those in large units never undergo.

In many ways the Army is growin these guys fast. From the very beginning this has been life in the fast lane for Ram and his buddies, and now it is taking another turn, and another environment.

Life is good.

And now Chris brings you … Stoopid Hippies

This is a real hoot. You will die laughing watching it. Penn and Teller have a chick pass around a petition to ban water…. and a bunch of Moonbats proudly sign it.

Don’t take my word for it watch it here:

I swear this is perfect it shows the Moonbats for what they really are.  These are the same mentality as the turds who infested Washington DC last weekend.

Moma’s got a brand new ride.

She’s always wanted one, and now she has it …. Poppa Tango Cruiser.

What else can you say?

Poppa Tango Cruiser

A car. A cellphone. Ma’s life is good.

Back to the Magical Forest

Monday, March 19th, 2007

So early this morning Ram and friends bundled up and moved back to the Magical Forest. This trip will last 2.5 months.

Some of it looks like fun. Some of it will be pain and suffering.

There are two things about it which make it better.

1.  You can’t stop time.

2.  You only have to go through it once.

What a good day

The Gathering of Eagles in DC produced a “Chilling Effect” or the Smelly Hippies and Barking Moonbats who tried to protect our efforts to secure Freedom for Iraqis yesterday. Obviously I was not there. GunnNutt, Major Pain, Michelle Malkin and a host of others were. Without further adeiu, here are some sites to look at pictures and read about their heroic efforts at keeping America Free.

And remember

Friday, March 16th, 2007

As we go into this weekend our minds will be on those in DC defending “The Wall” I would like to print this little ditty here. It was sent to me by a friend.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you (and have died).

1. Jesus Christ

2. The American GI

The first died for your soul.

The second for your freedom, and the right to worship the first.
