I guess the guys don’t need much time to see Vegas. (What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas … like when you change movey for chips … yup the chips stay in Vegas)

So anyway, once again discovering that long foot peddle on the the floor makes the Thunderboltgreaseslapper Convertible go fast when you step down on it …… they stepped down on it.

Presto …. Zion National Park in Utah. Somehow I don’t think it takes Waldo Mike and his buddy long to see a place.

Yup that’s a mountain ….. nother beer? … me neither … okay back in the car.

And now I think they are again thinking the Grand Canyon.  It must be done snowing there. One thing you can always say about the Grand Canyon …… it’s one major ditch.

Tomorrow I begin jury duty. Ya I know it’s a pain. They call me every year. Why can’t I get that luck with the lottery.

But next weekend Ma and I get to travel to the city in the East and babysit Eva. And by the looks of this photo it’s none too soon.  Looks like Eva’s Daddy and Eva have been staying up late and watching TV too much. We need to get there and take care of her while Chris and Beth go see a movie or something.

Of course what it looks like here is she likes watching TV till Daddy passes out. Wimmin eh? We have Eva’s current publicity photo to get up here soon, but it’s a funny thing about a new puter ….. you forget what software you need till you need it.  In this case it’s the scanner software. Will get it loaded in the next few days. Just wait till this chicky grows teeth …. talk about a million dollar smile!

Yanno I am not sure but I think Ram is kinda tired, somewhere near the ‘ain’t gonna have any trouble sleeping if he gets the chance to’ level.

The good news is he passed the last week’s evaluations. The bad news is two more weeks to the end of this thing. Then a weekend break, and then the part his brother Chris thinks is funny that he will have to do.  How is that for an evasive discription.

Nothing like eating anything you can catch or scrape off the bottom of rocks … et al. Of course that’s the good part of what’s coming.

Ma and I plan to motor down to the Bragg area this summer, and see if we can spend a Sunday with him … and maybe have a steak or something.

It will kind of be a trip down memory lane, going throught the Smokey Mountains. Maybe we will take a side trip through Quantico and DC. If we do we will look around in Fredricksburg for a restaurant named the Latchstring. Ma and I had a dinner or two there around the 1969 time span, when we got a weekend off. I just know it isn’t there anymore but we will look.

So keep ole Ram and the guys in your prayers when you say em. It has to be hard time after time having to pass something to stay in the pipeline.

By the other way ….. this blog is rapidly approaching 1 year old. Ram is approaching one year in the Army.

Life is good.

A day on the range is hard to beat. Today was designated a day to sharpen Pambo’s skill as a pistolero.

First some quality time at the 25 yard line with the 357 magnum. Then we shift to a 9MM auto just to break up the routine.

Happiness is a warm gun. There is nothing better on earth is to know that if you had to use one of these to defend yourself or your family, you can do it proficiently.  In the final analysis, we are all responsible for our own safety.

Last time we tuned in ladies and gentlemen, Waldo Mike and his buddy were on Mount Rushmore imitating that Indian tribe … you know the one .. the Fakarwi’s.

Once again full of nearly youthful zest they again found a road and flew down it. Presto …. Vale Colorado. No neither of them ski, I think they were just looking for left over snow bunnies. The plan then became to hit the Grand Canyon. Fate however would have other wise, cause according to the report the Grand Canyon is closed because of …. drum roll …. snow.

So undaunted the guys turned the Thunderboltgreaseslapper … Convertible … towards Vegas. According to the last report they were getting close to there. (somebody stop me if this starts soundling like a male version of Thelma and Louise)

You know with the top down … late at night .. you can see the UFO’s really well.  Most of them are left over from those B Movies from the 50’s.

Frankly my dear I don’t give a BLEEP! (hat tip to Pam). But we do care where Mike is. Last night after work Mike and his buddy loaded in the car (aka Thunderboltgreaseslapper Convertable) and shot out of town on vacation.

Kinda like the Guy’s Excellent Road Adventure.  So because it was dark and because they just wanted out of town, apparently they took just any road and ended up here this AM.

They found this high point and decided to climb it to see where they were. By the way according to our reporters … they are shooting some kinda movie here now …Nicholas Cage is in it and he was there.  He was probably lost too.  Small world eh?

And now were are in day two of Where’s Waldo Mike. It should be noted that while the guys are on vacation, nothing is safe. Everyone in the Dakotas should get off the streets.

Reid (Dingy Harry) declared today the war is lost.  Democrats want to ban firearms. Here is a photo of where this kind of cowardice leads.

God put definite limits on man’s intelligence, obviously He placed no such limits on man’s stupidity.

Gun Free Zones (read schools etc)  make perfect targets. The only one with a gun is the criminal.

There is an old saying that is true, dial 911 and die. The Police won’t save you. The tragic events of this week prove that. Nearly every student in that college dialled 911 when the shooting started.

It did not save them. Understand and internalize this …. the Police are not legally required to save your life.  They are protected from lawsuit for exactly that.

Each person is responsible for their own safety. Setting up “Gun Free Zones” endangers everyone. It is false security. Criminals and Crazy People do not observe laws… maybe some day liberals and other moonbats will learn that.

In the mean time, I know many of you have read about Al-Qaeda working to position people to attack schools. Gettin people into jobs as school drivers and other workers.

Now one madman in Virginia showed them how easy it would be to wipe out a large number of sheep in a gun free zone. Imagine a squad of them with multiple weapons, explosives etc.  They are already imagining it.

I have no idea what it will take before legislators and others wake up and make sure that normal law abiding citizens have to right to be armed 24/7.

That way they might have a fighting chance when the next incident happens.

Intelligence reports no sheep in the Magical Forest.  However during periods of near total exhaustion and sleep deprevation, other creatures have been reported … like bunnies … strange music and lights … and a singing toad … plus a scuba diver who bobs up and down in the lake like a …….. well like something that bobs up and down.

The lucky ones hear classical music.

Our best guess is that the gators ate the sheep.
