Barbara and Margaret
As Memorial Day approaches, instead of the usual cheers for the troops, Barbara and Margaret have decided on a quiet afternoon of serious reflection for what has been sacrificed for us just as Ken and Karen do.

Who’s Flat Stanley?

Let’s see if I can do this in 25 words or less………
Flat Stanley is a cut out paper doll made of paper and colored by a young child. He or she then mails this “Flat Stanley” to a friend or relative in another city.
Whoever receives “Flat Stanley” is duty bound to take the paper doll somewhere significant and take a photo of them holding Stanley up in front of ….. a monument or somewhere…. like Niagara Falls, or the Grand Canyon … or something significant in the area or city.
It’s good if you can go to a few places and photograph yourself and Stanley in front of places.
Then you mail “Flat Stanley” back to the child along with all the photos, and stories of where you went. The child gets to see his creation against interesting backdrops, and learns they are real …. and his doll was there.
