Move America Forward

Pro-Troop Group Demands of US Attorney:
Investigate Anti-American Activities in Berkeley

City Accused of Encouraging Interference with Federal Officers

SAN FRANCISCO—A law firm representing a pro-troop organization has sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney in San Francisco asking the federal government to investigate whether the Berkeley City Council’s official anti-Marine position and encouragement of anti-war groups to “impede” the work of Marine recruiters constitutes a breach of law. If the City Council violated the law, the letter asks the U.S. Attorney to prosecute the perpetrators.

The letter was drafted by the attorney for pro-troop organization Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org), which is the nation’s largest pro-troop grassroots nonprofit. The correspondence also voices concerns that the Berkeley Police were unresponsive and negligent to public safety during a protest the group organized in Berkeley on Feb. 12, 2007. The original copy has already been mailed and an additional copy will be hand-delivered Monday morning with a press conference immediately following.

“We will explore every avenue to ensure that Marine Corps personnel are not harassed for simply doing their jobs, especially not by a city government,” said Catherine Moy, Executive Director of Move America Forward.

Move America Forward has been active in organizing demonstrations as well as several ad campaigns rebuking the Berkeley City Council since they called Marine Recruiters “uninvited and unwelcome intruders” at a Jan. 29 council meeting. The council also reserved a publicly funded parking space and gave free sound permits to a radical anti-war group protesting the office.

“That is a blatant misuse of tax dollars and a violation of civil rights” said Moy, referring to the privileges granted to Code Pink, the antiwar group that received special treatment from the council.

“We have been fighting them all the way and this is simply the next step,” said Melanie Morgan, Move America Forward’s co-founder. Morgan is also demanding that Berkeley’s mayor give a full and official apology to all military personnel, veterans, and their families, and rescind the resolutions giving special treatment to Code Pink.

“Berkeley has got to realize that we’re not going away,” Morgan concluded.

My mom would call this “stick-to-it-tiveness. These guys have that plus.

More from the Vets for Freedom Tour

Tour Stop Kansas City:

Video by JD Johannes (Professional videographer his work is called Outside the Wire.). It begins with Capt. Pete Hegseth (US Army formerly of the 101 Airborne) and discusses the cancellation of the Lake Forest High School presentation because of the email and or phone calls from anti war groups not even connected with the high school.

The camera flashes around the room for cameos of characters you may know. It is a high quality video. At the end SSgt. David Bellavia (1st Infantry Division) shares his feelings on camera. Bellavia, like Sgt York of WWI fame has been written up for the Distinguished Service Cross. Sgt York’s DSC was later upgraded to a Congressional Medal of Honor. There is a possibility that SSgt Bellavia’s may be as well.

Uncle Jimbo from Blackfive stepped up for an appearance in Marshall MO. You can view his comments at Blackfive. As well as his comments in a video there are links on this page to :

Time to Qualify

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

SkateBoard Brother like to skateboard. He also likes to drive.

ZoomZoomZoom

Here he is sharpening his driving skills, and working to get his qualifying time down. He likes NASCAR but he likes to turn right sometimes too.

SBB Deux

I still think he needs to mount a machine gun on top of that roll bar. If you do that people will get out of your way.

Steven Spielberg picks a new child to make a derelict out of

 tintinwhatever

“For those who remember, he was the young boy who gets the girl in the film Love Actually. For those who don’t, Thomas Sangster may yet become a household name. The sixth-former from south London, the Guardian can reveal, has been chosen by Steven Spielberg to be his Tintin for a three-movie adaptation of the boy reporter’s adventures. The trilogy is likely to give the 17-year-old the same profile as Daniel Radcliffe, aka Harry Potter, or Elijah Wood, who shot to international stardom as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings series.

More than 200m copies of Hergé’s Tintin books have been sold around the world; fans tend to be devoted, if not obsessed by the character, his faithful dog Snowy and his perpetually frustrated friend Captain Haddock, an endearing drunk.”

Okay lets review the bidding shall we? Here we have a boy who has already been hired out by his parents to make money. Because of his work schedule he is more than likely not in school, with no normal schedule, associating with motion picture types. The crew and writer and producers are largely party type drugies. His folks use this boy for money. They will continue the practice. They will place him in the middle of a dark world, he will make too much money pretending to be someone he isn’t.  Too many of these kids have screwed up lives. Let’s see how he turns out.

The Point: Spielberg and the other Hollywood types contribute a lot of time and effort opposing the military. This is manifesting itself currently in demonstrations and attacks on military recruiting stations. While they spend even more time and effort recruiting children into this world of corruption. Their god is money and partys and drugs.May they rest in trust.

An Evening with Heros

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Yes that word in a way chafes them. But it is what they are. Why were they here? Simple to speak the truth, as opposted to what the radical left media weenies spread around.

Three who have been there done that.

Capt. Pete Hegseth (US Army formerly of the 101 Airborne)  Gunner Tom Parks USMC (ret)  and Ssgt. David Bellavia (1st Infantry Division), author of “House to House” If you have a chance to buy David’s book I recommend it. I was fortunate enough to get mine autographed.

They are passionate, they are focused. They want to tell what really is going on despite the barking moonbats. Vets for Freedom.

conference table talk

The meeting took place in a conference room at Liberty Memorial, which is a World War I museum. A truely remarkable place. The woman across from the vets sitting directly to the right of the woman in the light blue sweater is Kat from Castle Argghhh. She did an extreemly good job of recording what happened, much better than I could. I recommend reading it hear at Castle Argghhh.

CWO $ Parks

To a man each of these guys are luck to be alive. To a man they are all humble and fervent. They don’t consider themselves better than anyone else. But make no mistake they have all been to the village and seen the elephant.

Their tales of heroism are delivered in a simple matter of fact way, none of them consider themselves heros. No one can proclaim themself a hero. You are only a hero if others recognise that about you.

Uncle Jimbo of Blackfive ... The Paratrooper of Love

Before the evening was over I had to go kick open the door on the bus (okay I knocked) and say howdy to Uncle Jimbo. To those of you who don’t know him, he is a total wild man. He is a retired Green Beret, a Weapons Sergeant. I got to shuck and jive with him for a few minutes and take a photo of him and Kat.

I even got to talk about a new SF type I had heard of.

You can check out Jimbo’s show at Blackfive … and take a peek at the post he wrote about his visit here last night.

Remarkably Well Said Sam

Sam’s email to Dr. Steve Massey (ooh, it’s long)

Hello,

I wanted to take a moment and say “thank you” for slapping America in the face. It is truly wonderful that we have strong leaders like yourself who have absolutely no capability of determining the difference between disagreeing with the current administration on Iraq, and showing respect to those who would gladly give their lives for the right and freedom to hold a disagreeing view with our government.

As well, your PhD elevates you to a level so far superior to anyone who might serve in military. How could you possibly soil yourself with their presence? I mean, they are all so violent and disenfranchised; they are hardly worth allowing to even have an American citizenship. Certainly, the blood they have shed for your freedoms and in your honor is absolutely insignificant.

And of course, you must realize that I am being quite sarcastic. You are truly the worst kind of human; an educated weakling who does not know right from wrong.

I am so glad that my family is not within your range of influence. When my children look at a challenge I want them to be able to determine where the difficulty lies, address that difficulty, and not waste time attacking what is easy. I mean, that is what you have done. It was far easier to turn away our National Heroes Tour than to host them, and then remind people that the military does not decide with whom we go to war.

Are you not in a position of authority? I fear you have no authority for you were too weak to tell people that if they disagree with the current situation in Iraq they should take that up with their elected representatives, and not take it out on our military.

Is it not the job of educators to enlighten? Yet you failed to show people the true purpose of our military; that is to protect our lives and our freedoms.

I want the children in my family to be truly erudite and objective, and not just claim to be so by flashing a PhD. Since I have no children of my own, I hope that my beautiful nieces and nephews have the calling to serve this amazing country of ours, and to be strong enough to stand up for what is right. I hope, regardless of their level of education, that they never turn away from our most precious resource: the United States military, and I hope that if they believe something about our country is broken, they will work hard to repair it, instead of capitulating to those who throwing mud at those they perceive as causing the problem.

I hope that the children in my family will follow in the footsteps of the airmen basics, privates, seamen recruits, airmen, privates first class, seamen apprentices, airmen first class, lance corporals, seamen, senior airmen, specialists, corporals, petty officers third class, sergeants, staff sergeants, petty officers second class, technical sergeants, petty officers first class, master sergeants, sergeants first class, gunnery sergeants, chief petty officers, master sergeants, senior master sergeants, first sergeants, senior chief petty officers, chief master sergeants, master gunnery sergeants, sergeants major, master chief petty officers, 2nd lieutenants, ensigns, 1st lieutenants, lieutenants junior grade, captains, lieutenants, majors, lieutenant commanders, lieutenant colonels, commanders, colonels, naval captains, brigadier generals, rear admirals lower half, major generals, rear admirals upper half, lieutenant generals, vice admirals, generals and admirals who have all served this country with honor and courage. Any one of them is much more honorable than you have shown yourself to be, and they are examples of generous human beings, willing to sacrifice so others can leave peacefully in freedom.

I do not respect you Dr. Massey, and I hope that NO child in my family grows up to emulate you, in any way. I am not in the military so I can say this out loud without repercussion: it is my opinion that your whole life, and your whole being is not worth one tiny drop of sweat from any of our past, current ,or future members of the military. Fortunately for you, anyone in our military would still give their lives for you.

With as little respect as you deserve,
