Ner’s birthday is the 30th. She is a real sweetie. Pambo called and we got to visit on the phone.

Oh and ….. It’s Ma and my 39th Anniversary. I just know Ma wins some kinda special prize for putting up with me.
The Jujubeans family is back in the USA. They are spending the night with a volunteer family in New York.
They are tuckered out. They will spend tomorrow and Monday catching up.
They will be back home Monday night (God willing and Delta can keep a schedule…. and they don’t get stuck in Atlanta ….. Again)

I am thinking that in their tour group there are very few children. Several people in the tour group were drawn to the kids.
They stayed in the convent of Saint Bernadette. St Bernadette was a weak child and suffered much:
“Bernadette (in religion, Sister Marie-Bernarde) spent the latter part of her life at the convent, saying that she had come to hide herself. She sought God in the silence of the cloister, serving Him in humility and under the vows of her profession as a Sister of Charity of Nevers. She lived in the convent for thirteen years, spending a large portion of this time ill in the infirmary - when a fellow sister accused her of being a ‘lazybones’, she said that her ‘job’ was “to be ill”.
Bernadette died on 16th April 1879.
The Lady of Lourdes had kept the promise She made to Bernadette in 1858 -
“I do not promise to make you happy in this world, but in the next”.”
Two things happened out of the ordinary. They entered the chapel where Bernadette’s body lays in rest. It was late at night. They were alone except for one nun. Who wouldn’t have an instant liking for Juju and Repete and the family. She took them up to the body of Saint Bernadette to spend a private moment close to the saint.
“The reliquary was made of silver, gilt and crystal. On it were depiction’s of the Apparitions at Lourdes, and lilies - the symbol of Bernadette’s purity.”
Saint Bernadette’s body is incorrupt as a sign of her purity. The water that sprang up at Lourdes is a symbol of the life giving water of Christ.
While at the convent, one young Postulate (that is a woman who is preparing to become a nun) was drawn to Juju. As part of her evolution she is required .. and wants to … pick someone special to pray for. She asked if she could pray for Juju.
One of the most exciting things about last Sunday’s living rosary … at least to me … was the fact that there was a small group of nuns close to us. They were all young. The one closest to us looked to be perhaps 19. She was an attractive young woman and had a very spiritual quality surrounding her. Almost all the nuns I have been around are very old. It is like they are a dying breed. Seeing a group of young nuns was a very hopeful thing for me.
And now to Repete. The tour group had several military types in it. One presented little Pete with a medal of Saint George, and pronounced him to be inducted into the Order of St George the Dragon Slayer.
St George is also adopted by many in the military as their patron saint.
Another in the group who is apparently an artist, did a drawing of Repete on a skateboard with a sword … slaying dragons.
Repete stood up and did the readings at several Masses. That in and of itself is a miracle. Pete is the last guy in the world I can imagine who would stand up in front of people and read selections from the bible.
Last note. This Saturday they fly back to New York. They will fly back here Monday. Ma and I will pick up the family at the airport Monday evening.
In 1858, in the grotto of Massabielle, near Lourdes in southern France, Our Lady appeared 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous, a young peasant girl.
She revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception, asked that a chapel be built on the site of the vision, and told the girl to drink from a fountain in the grotto.
No fountain was to be seen, but when Bernadette dug at a spot designated by the apparition, a spring began to flow. The water from this still flowing spring has shown remarkable healing power, though it contains no curative property that science can identify.

Kathleen Sebelius to stop taking Communion until she disowns her support for the “serious moral evil” of abortion. That put the church in conflict with a rising star of the Democratic Party, often described as a “moderate” and perhaps the leading prospect to become Barack Obama’s vice presidential running mate.
Naumann also took Sebelius to task for her veto April 21 of a bill, passed two to one by both houses of the Kansas Legislature, which would strengthen the state’s ban on late-term abortions by authorizing private lawsuits against providers. That followed by a year her veto of a bill requiring explicit medical reasons for a late abortion, which was preceded by vetoing other abortion legislation in 2006, 2005 and 2003.
Those positions are necessary for Democratic politicians to pass their party’s pro-choice litmus test, but Sebelius’ connection with abortion is more intimate. She is allied with the aggressive Kansas branch of Planned Parenthood in a bitter struggle with anti-abortion activist District Attorney Phill Kline. There is substantial evidence she has been involved in laundering abortion industry money for distribution to Kansas Democrats. Kansas is the fiercest state battleground for abortion wars, making Kathleen Sebelius the national pro-choice poster girl.
The Almanac of American Politics talks of a “moderate image” for Sebelius, daughter of former Ohio Gov. John Gilligan. She picked up substantial Republican support in an easy 2002 win for governor and, after naming a former Republican state chairman as her running mate, was re-elected in a 2006 landslide. Chosen this year to deliver the Democratic response to President Bush’s State of the Union Address, she told the nation, “In this time normally reserved for the partisan response, I hope to offer you something more: an American response.” She gave the impression of reaching out across party lines in what was widely regarded as an audition for vice president as a Democrat able to carry a heavily Republican state.
Behind that facade, Sebelius sits at the apex of a complicated Kansas financing system involving the famous abortion provider Dr. George Tiller of Wichita. She controls Bluestem Fund PAC, distributing money to Kansas Democratic candidates. Tiller, one of the few American doctors still performing late-term abortions, contributed $120,000 to the Democratic Governors Association in 2006, which has given $200,000 to Bluestem.”

What burns me is how some Moonbat like this will try to talk to a military group and make up things about history to link himself (or her “under sniper fire” self” to the military, for votes.
Let me explain that whole ‘misspoke’ thing …. it means they lied. They lied for personal benefit.
Occasionally I listen to Bill O’Reilly. His radio show and TV show is very popular, his “no spin” thing. However he sure allows spin when it comes to political whoppers like this. He lets them off. Even with a string of things that add up to …. This creep is no danged good … he gives politicians a pass.
Obama has no idea what it is like to serve in the military. He is not my buddy, nor the buddy of anyone who has served. He doesn’t know he didn’t have an uncle … let alone an uncle who liberated Auschwitz. Hillary didn’t know she was never under sniper fire.
Right.
Now more “misspokes” are leaking out of Obigears’s talk on Memorial Day:
“Two days after a speech in which Sen. Barack Obama erroneously claimed his uncle helped liberate the Auschwitz concentration camp, inconsistencies remain regarding the much-touted military service of the presidential candidate’s family.
During the Memorial Day speech in New Mexico, Obama suggested his grandfather, the late Stanley Dunham, engaged in combat. But the Democratic senator’s autobiography says his grandfather never saw “real combat.” Also, Army records apparently contradict Obama’s claim his grandfather signed up the day after the Pearl Harbor attack.
Obama several times has suggested his grandfather served in combat.
During Monday’s speech, Obama said: “My grandfather marched in Patton’s Army, but I cannot know what it is to walk into battle like so many of you.”
In a 2002 anti-war speech, Obama told the audience, “My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton’s army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.”
But in his autobiography, “Dreams of My Father,” Obama states his grandfather never engaged in combat.
Obama’s 2002 claim his grandfather enlisted in the Army the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor is contradicted by Army records showing Dunham signed up June 18, 1942 – six months after Pearl Harbor.
Obama’s campaign did not immediately return a WND request for clarification.”
How can you respond to baldface lies. How can you explain this turd like to talk and listen to the sound of his own voice. It’s like he’s listening to a radio show of himself talking. The truth just keeps getting in the way. Obviously he doesn’t know he has said things, done things, wrote about things in the past, that conflict with what he says now.
