De Plane De Plane!!!

Apparently is some waaaay backwards countries the signal for a plane to come pick you up is; You locate a palm branch and lay it over whatever looks like an airstrip then you wait. You wait for some plane to fly over…. see it, and decide to come down and land … and pick you up.

Frankly, I think stacking iced beer, cigars and girly magazines would attract more airplanes faster.

That said … the Gr@ym@n is on the way … finially. When will he be back? Who knows, it might be late tonight, it could be tomorrow. I think that depends on how long it takes the flight crew to tank up on German beer, then sober up and tank up the plane.

Good News

CNN is dumping their liberal, anti-Tea Party correspondent, Susan Roesgen. Roesgen was the reporter who decided to harass those who attended the April 15th Tea Party in Chicago, IL, instead of serving as an unbiased journalist (yes, we know – a bit of an oxymoron there). In response, we here at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee launched an online grass roots effort that flooded CNN’s offices with tens of thousands of phone calls and emails. And CNN felt the heat – first sending Roesgen on leave for a suddenly scheduled vacation, and now deciding to part ways with Roesgen altogether.

Immediate Action Drills

Photographer!!! Quick ... Immediate Reaction Drill!

Photographer!!! Quick ... Immediate Reaction Drill!

In the military these things called “Immediate Action Drills” are used. At least they used to call them that. Examples include practicing doing what needs to be done to:

Clear a building.
React to an ambush
React to incoming
And so forth …

The reason for this is to ingrain in the Marine or Soldiers mind what to do in each forseeable situation. It prevents the need for thought in taking an immediate action. These drills become automatic.

I was able to capture a political “Immediate Action Drill” for politicians. In the photo you see a photographer, this one is with the Kansas Meadowlark. He is preparing to “shoot” the candidate and her family. The family is seen here reacting to the situation and performing a “Happy Family Pose”.

It prevents though and gives them a practices action to take. I just gotta think that they practice this drill in front of the mirror at home repeatedly.

The kind of guy who should be elected

The kind of guy who should be elected

The last week has been a whirlwind. It was two weeks ago Thursday that I found out, by accident, that a guy named SSgt Daniel Gilyeat, USMC (Ret) was a candidate for US Congress. As you may know, some four weeks back I began working with a guy named Nick and a woman named Donna to form a corporation the purpose of which was to provide support, training, and teambuilding for conservative candidates. It was our initial thought that we would target local and state offices. When we found about Daniel, we began to check things out and assess his potential. In very short order we came to the conclusion, we had to “jump in”.

Without discussing too much about specifics here (the blog walls have ears) things began to happen. It was almost like Divine intervention. The corporation was formed. We began to develop contacts with experience eager to help. There is a real pent up desire on the part of a lot of people to change government, and bring back balance. We will be working with Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, not only locally but nationally.

More specific reports will be launched shortly to supporters and sympathizers. I am convinced, based on many conversations both one on one, and with members of crowds, that too many good candidates are left to twist slowly in the breeze by others in their own party (each one of the parties).
Members of the various political parties who are in the “in crowd” clique are as inbred as those hill people in the movie “Deliverance”. You remember the banjo player in dueling banjos and his family? Well that’s them … only with dentally enhanced teeth. If you decide you want to run for any office don’t worry about the front of your body armor, put double plates in the back because that is where you will get stabbed.

Let me just say that we are beginning to attract some really good and powerful people, and assembling them into a team.

I find this to be very exciting and hopeful. Trust me on this one; the troops are a strong motivator for us all to make sure we succeed.
We ask for God’s help.

Maybe the message on the T-shirt has something to do with all this?

Maybe the message on the T-shirt has something to do with all this?

It was a fast weekend. A gathering of the family, attendance at a TEA Party. Forth of July festivities, bar-b-que and shared meals.
We went to Zarda for dinner on Friday. Pam ordered light because she is watching calories. Cue Chris … Chris Speaks, “Oh yea, Beth is gaining weight, she gained at least 2 pounds in the last few weeks. She’s really getting fat!” (probably not an exact quote but things like this get blurred in the “I can’t believe he said that mode.”

Beth, instead of punching him was sitting there smiling. I though that’s odd. Then came the reason.

Beth is expecting! Number 2 is on the way!

Continuing on his mission to tick off as many of the women there as possible told Ma, “We are gonna name him Wyatt Danger.” That always ticks Ma off. So needless to say there was a little back and forth. (I cleaned that up yanno).

So anyway, congratulations to Chris, and Beth, and congratulations to Eva who will get a new brother or sister.

You know you have to have a lot of people you trust if you are going to take over the world!
