Stupid Is… As Stupid Does

Likewise Smart is … as smart does.
Let the Smart Cars Roll!!!!
smart car
Well, all I can say is this guy’s car is truely a reflection of his persona.
smart_car_mercedes
And this lady looks like she belongs in a Mercedes. That said, what she is in doesn’t really look like a Mercedes. Models will do anything for money.

This of course is the “Grand Finale”. It is also the reason I would never buy or borrow one of these things.

Because we care…

We wanted to present some of the more …. ahhh … less well known laws that may affect those who live in these states.

Kansas
It is illegal to catch fish with your bare hands.
Lawrence – it is against the law to carry bees in your hat.
McLough – it is illegal to wash your dentures in a public drinking fountain.
Natoma – it is agianst the law to practice knife throwing at men in striped suits.
Russell – it is against the law to have a musical car horn.

Missouri
State law has a provision that allows any city in the state to levy a tax to support a band, provided that “the mayor plays piccolo and each band member can eat peas with a knife.”
It is illegal to carry an uncaged bear down the highway.
St. Louis – it is against the law to drink beer from a bucket on any street curb.

North Carolina
According to state law, it its illegal to use elephants to plow cotton fields.
It is illegal to sing out of tune.
Asheville – it is illegal to sneeze within the city limits.
Wade Mills – it is against the law to purchase or eat ice cream 30 minutes before church on Sunday.
Wintson-Salem – it is against the law for children under the age of seven to go to college.

If we missed your state (Wisconsin doesn’t seem to have wacky laws) you can look them up here.

UPDATE!!!!!
Our reporter in Wisconsin has discovered wacky laws:

State Law made it illegal to serve apple pie in public restaurants without cheese
Nuclear weapons may not be manufactured in the city limits. (Sun Prairie)
If one is thought of as offensive looking, it is illegal for him to be in public during the day. (Milwaukee )
You cannot “worry a squirrel.” (La Crosse)
Tattooing is illegal unless it is done for medical purposes. (Brookfield)
While all cheese making requires a license, Limburger cheese making requires a master
cheese maker’s license.

Alrighty then … Who’s next? Step right up!

The following is from Gateway Pundit

‘The Pakistani Taliban confirmed Tuesday that their leader, Hakimullah Mahsud, died from injuries suffered in a U.S. drone missile strike last month, an attack that forces the insurgency to find a new leader for the second time in six months.

The death of Mahsud, engineer of a devastating series of suicide attacks and raids on markets, mosques and security installations across Pakistan in the latter half of 2009, gives the U.S. another major victory in its ongoing campaign of drone missile strikes against top Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders.

A drone strike last August killed Mahsud’s predecessor, Baitullah Mahsud. Missiles fired by drones over Pakistan’s tribal areas along the Afghan border have also killed 15 senior Al Qaeda commanders since 2004.

However, experts do not expect the loss of Hakimullah Mahsud, 28, to deal a fatal blow to the Taliban as it battles the government in the country’s northwest.’

So how are all those virgins working out for you Mahsud????

Bless the Man

Gr@ym@n Sends …….

Subject: bless the man, bless the girl

bless the man
who protects this land
though most don’t know what he do
he goes to fight
whether it’s day or night
and his heart is always true
bless the man
who with his two hands
he kills with one, loves with the other
for it takes true strength
to go the length
that most refuse to another
bless the man
who sees so much death
he knows the true meaning of life
it ain’t for the money
it ain’t for the stuff
it’s to come home safely to his wife.

and bless the girl
he’s her only world
she’s always his rock and his stone
only for him she works hard and tries
every night alone she prays and cries
that someday their life is their own

Bush Asked to Leave

February 7, 2010 on 5:04 pm | In Mil Blog, Politics | 6 Comments

Thanks and a Hat Tip to Roz for bringing this story to my attention:

“So, who told the White House?
Bush Asked to Leave Ft. Hood

I sent my cousin in Fayetteville, N.C. (retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft Hood… I got this reply:

What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only asks for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that “The president is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital.” The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in days later and held a “photo” session in a gym and did not even go to the hospital. All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.

This Busy/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US.

Class shows up…
The doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.

He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, “I am okay.” Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse, “I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery.”

The soldier’s wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night to Ft. Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to comfort him. He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side. The nurse took this picture.

GWB Ft Hood

What? No news crews and cameras? This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform.”

Boston Tea Party II

January 20, 2010 on 5:10 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

So yesterday the tide began to turn when Scott Brown won Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat. He was elected by the TEA Party people … not Republicans. Like me, many are seriously sick and tired of Democrats and Republicans. The TEA Party movement reaches out to Americans no matter what party.

It has just begun.

Kinda looks like a rough neighborhood eh? It would be fun to commute to work in one of these!

We had the chance to take a trip back in history to the World War I Museum. It was remodelled years back but this was the first time we had a chance to visit a couple of times. It is a very personalised (with personal stories, and artifacts) journey.

Judging by the large numbers of people visiting and pondering, it is a important and unique collection of history.

emnoahmaimasmall

There is so much to take in, documentaries, documents, weapons, artifacts and the story of so many who were involved.

I don’t know about Noah, but I would sure like to have one of these in the front yard. I would spend all New Year’s Eve polishing, cleaning and loading it and worrying the neighbors.

The refrig is covered with photos. At Christmas Emster and the Doodlebug took a minute to scan the family fotos. We are all there.

Boys, on the other hand will be boys. They prefer playing, remote control cars and so forth.

And yes … it was a White Christmas. I’t still white and cold. Next person who utters the words “Global Warming” around here is gonna get his butt knocked in a snow bank.

Where has everyone gone??

I realize that the CookiecrumbExpress has been fairly dead lately.
Most of the action has shifted to Face Book. Think everyone in the family gets up and reads FaceBook before breakfast, then add content.

I will try to post more frequently here. FaceBook info to anyone of you that I know who wants it.
